Pakistan exports 100,000 kg human hair to China
Over the past five years, Pakistan has exported more than 100,000 kg people to China, worth $132,000.
According to Dawn, the Ministry of Commerce and the Ministry of Textiles told the National Assembly that 105,461 kg of people have exported to China in the past five years.
Due to the growth of the makeup industry, China\'s demand for human hair has increased.
The famous beautician AM Chauhan told the Daily Mail that another reason for the increase in human hair exports is that wearing a wig is a fashion trend.
Another reason, he said, is the recent decline in local hair accessories production.
In the past, locals used to do hair, beard and wigs with their hands, he said, but now local artisans have lost the market in China\'s cosmetics industry.
Chauhan added that exporters have placed bins in hair salons, buying hair at an average of Rs 5,000 or Rs 6,000 per kilogram. High-
Quality hair is also exported to the United States and Japan because they have a high demand for hair in the entertainment industry.
Pakistan also imported wigs and wigs.
